Our Green Message

Doing our bit...

We are constantly striving to reduce our impact on the environment. To this end we maintain an electronic filing system, which means that:

  • We do not print emails unless we cannot avoid it
  • We do not print our own copies of business communications such as correspondence, quotations, or proposals
  • We offer our customers the option of receiving invoices from us via email

Foxhall operates within a virtual office system, this reduces our carbon foorprint by minimising unnecessary travel by our staff. Wherever possible all our staff work from home offices so that they only travel on company business and not to a central office location.

Using remote access to support systems and resolve problems enables our engineers to further reduce travel.

What to do with WEEE...

Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) is one of the fastest growing waste streams and much of it can be recycled and resources recovered to make new consumer goods. To remind consumers of the collection methods available, which in turn allow recycling to take place, all electrical items sold now carry the "crossed out wheeled bin" symbol. To ensure your waste electronics don’t contribute to damaging the environment, please recycle your WEEE.

  • Electrical goods are the fastest growing waste stream in the UK, growing by 5% each year
  • In the UK the amount of electrical waste we create in one year would fill the new Wembley 6 times!
  • Each year in the UK we go through over 1.2 million tonnes of electrical waste. That is the equivalent of 150 thousand double decker buses!
  • 75% of waste electronics end up in landfill sites
  • "Over six million electrical items are thrown away every year in the UK. It is estimated that over half of them are still working or could easily be repaired."
  • 15 million mobile phones are upgraded in the UK each year, laid from end-to-end they would reach from John O'Groats to Lands End!
